Local Chicago shops to host board game event

A trio of local Chicago area toy stores will be hosting the inventors of some of the biggest board games of today next week. It's a great chance to play some games, have some fun, and take home some passes for the upcoming Chicago Toy and Game Fair.

Two of the inventors of five of the hottest games of the past year will be on hand for the multi-store event. And these aren't your typical games here either, we're talking games that are educational yes- but fun above all. Remember fun?

Here's who'll be on hand and when:
Peggy Brown, inventor of:

- Snug as a Bug in a Rug (2012 Dr. Toy 10 Best Educational Products)

- Count Your Chickens (2011 Creative Child Game of the Year)

- Willy's Wiggly Web (2012 Oppenheim Gold Award)

Gina Manola, inventor of:

- Feed the Woozle (2012 Oppenheim Gold Award)

- Race to the Treasure (2012 Oppenheim Platinum Award )

Saturday, September 15th
10AM-NOON: Cat and Mouse
12:30-2:30: Building Blocks
3PM-5PM: Sweetivo
As for scoring free passes to the Chicago Toy and Game Fair, it's pretty simple. Every shopper that buys a copy of either Manola or Brown's games published by Peaceable Kingdom will automatically be granted a weekend pass for the Fair (which if held on November 17th and 18th). Now that's fun.
