New Darksiders 2 Screens Aplenty

THQ's Darksiders 2, due this year, is getting a pretty solid amount of buzz behind it. The newest cavalcade of screenshots will probably generate some more- this is shaping up to be a very nice looking game.

The series, for those who don't know, stars the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They get duped into triggering armageddon prematurely by some very bad folks and have to fight across a war ravaged Earth to clear their names. At least, the hero of the first title, War, did. Death takes center stage in the sequel and looks to be battling through a little more of an otherworldly landscape.

Darksiders was an excellent mix of Legend of Zelda, God of War, and comic book sensibilities all wrapped up in a big biblical bow. Darksiders 2 looks to be, for the large part, more of the same- and that's a very good thing.
